Social Media

Visit me at these sites, too:

Amazon

Goodreads

Twitter

Facebook

Google+

Pinterest

  1. Not only do you have a large social media platform, but you do a really good job of keeping up to date with each of them. How much time do you spend per day updating these sites? Do you find one website is more effective than others in finding new followers, or would you consider them all equally necessary? I’m really impressed by your devotion.

    • Thanks so much, Thomas 🙂 I definitely don’t feel as devoted as I probably should be. I think the time each person will end up spending on their social media will depend largely on them and which one(s) work the best for their individual purposes. I basically tried ALL of them to begin with…then realized that 2 or 3 of them were really more “my thing” than the others. Facebook and my blog feel more personal to me, which is what I really am attracted to. I like to make real, back-and-forth connections with my readers and with other authors, and I feel FB and my blog do this better for me. Twitter and Google+ and Pinterest have those options, I suppose, but none of them feel quite as intimate as my blog and FB do. I don’t end up spending more than probably a half an hour a day, total, on all my social media (although in the beginning, while I was learning the ropes, it was much more than that). Thanks for stopping by, Thomas! I appreciate it 🙂
